|We serve families and children who are primarily from under-resourced communities in approximately 30 zip codes throughout Greater Cleveland. Last fiscal year, we served over 741 children and families across the Greater Cleveland area. In our Family Preservation Crisis Nursery Programs, 170 children* from 94 families were served through our Crisis Nursery and provided 3068 days of care. Families seek our services due to a variety of crises. However, the majority of families served last year were seeking short-term respite care, lacking adequate resources to meet basic needs, and/or facing homelessness.
*Our annual census has been limited due to COVID-19, but in a typical year, we can serve upwards of 350 children and their parents/guardians through our Family Preservation Crisis Nursery.

|Providence House welcomes the chance to engage students from Mayfield Schools in our various volunteer opportunities. Over 400 volunteers provide critical support to Providence House each year. Opportunities include:
– Special Events Volunteers: Many volunteers are needed to build community awareness and host successful events at Providence House, including our Annual Luncheon in April, Deck the House in December, Benefit Auctions and various community-based events. Volunteers will fulfill various roles, prepping for, during, and cleaning-up after the event.
– Done in a Day Volunteers: Done in a Day projects are a great opportunity for your company or group to build teamwork while giving back. We can accommodate up to 10 volunteers for this opportunity.
These projects are typically scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 am – 4 pm in 2 or 3-hour shifts (9 am-12 pm or 1-4 pm). However, we can be flexible with these shifts to better accommodate your group’s schedule.
During your visit, you will complete a campus project (donation inventory and organizing, landscaping, weeding, outside clean-up, painting, etc.) and also take a tour of our campus to learn more about our organization and services.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss further opportunities for your organization to volunteer with us, please contact Katie Goodman (Grants Coordinator) at email@example.com or Selena Vazquez (Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator) at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
